Carers Link Lancashire

Carers Link Lancashire is a registered charity who aim to support unpaid carers across East Lancashire. The charity was founded in 1997 as a community care project in the Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley area for voluntary services, since then Carers Link Lancashire was founded in April of 2014.

The Purpose of Carers Link Lancashire is to provide a person centred and holistic support to unpaid carers and those that they care for within East Lancashire, they hope to do this by raising awareness, providing update information, providing training and offering to support.

How do Carers Link Lancashire offer support?

Carers link aim to offer support in a variety of different ways such as:

  • Specialist 1-2-1 and group support groups.
  • Magazines detailing local groups, activities and courses.
  • Support to access community and health and wellbeing services.
  • A 24 hr volunteers manned carers help and talk line.
  • Volunteer befriending and sitting-in-services.
  • Support for former carers.
  • Volunteering opportunities for carers, including volunteering for the CHAT line, befriending and sitting-in- services.
  • Carers awareness briefing for professionals.
